Role of the Parish Council

The parish of Milborne Port (which includes Milborne Wick) has a population of just over 2,800 (ref 2011 Census).

The Parish Council has an overall responsibility for the well-being of the community within the Parish. The council's work falls into three main categories:

•  Representing the local community
•  Delivering services to meet local needs 
•  Striving to improve quality of life in the parish

The staffing structure of the Parish Council is shown here; Parish Councillors are not paid members of staff.

The Parish Council Office at the Town Hall is open every Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 4.30pm, when the Clerk, Simon Pritchard, is available to help with any queries.  The Parish Council welcome any comments and feedback from members of the public, so please do drop in and pay Simon a visit with any concerns.
