News from the Council Chamber, November 2018

Here are a few items which may be of interest following the November Parish Council meeting. As ever, the full minutes will be published in due course.

 Springfield Road Car Park

The council has now let a contract for the installation of lights at the car park at Springfield road which serves the village hall and recreation ground. The lights have been designed to give minimal light pollution for residents in the adjacent houses.

Allotments

A contract was let for new water troughs and piping to support the allotments at Gainsborough.

New Councillor

Council welcomed Mr. Tim Carty, who was elected unopposed following a recent vacancy. Residents are advised that there is a further vacancy which will also be filled by election. Please see the notice below.

Village Entrances

As part of the traffic calming measures in the village, the council let a contract to install village entrance signs at each end of the village on the A30 and at Station Road.

New PSCO

Our new PCSO, John Winfield was present at the meeting and announced his intention to be a visible presence in the village and provide regular updates to council about his work.
