Parish Council Vacancy

town hallAs noted elsewhere on this site, there is now a vacancy for an addtional Parish Councillor. This will be filled by co-option. The notice of co-option can be found here. Anyone wishing to apply for this position may wish to look at the Good Councillor's guide for information as to how the council operates.

Friends of Milborne Port Library - October 2017

Black FOMPL logo002There were gasps of amazement when a Tiger appeared, as if by magic, at our End of Summer Reading Challenge Party.

Agent Tiger arrived just in time to assist Library Staff members, Sue O’Brien and Edwina Stirzaker, by presenting Medals to the 31 children who were there.   In total, 60 children took part in the Challenge over the summer months, most of them reading the six books needed to complete the Challenge. They will all receive their Medals and Certificates to prove it.

Litter Pick

litter pickOver the last couple of years, Elle Wilson has done a marvelous job of organising the periodic village litter picks. However, it is now time for someone else as they say, to step up to the plate and take this role over. It is not an arduous task as equipment (bags etc.) is available and the picks are only organised a couple of times a year. So if anyone would like to pick up on this role, please get in touch with this website or with the Parish Council office.
