Utilisation of grant funding from Canadian Solar

town hallNotice

The Milborne Port Parish Council have received a substantial grant from Canadian Solar with the specification that it be used for projects which benefit the village. Residents are invited to promote ideas for the utilisation of the funds. To be considered, ideas must be received no later than 18th February 2019 and consideration will be made by councillors at the March meeting of council.

The Parish Council solely will decide as to the use of the funds and no correspondence of the decision will be entered into.

Any proposal should address at least the following in addition to defining the project and describing its scope and cost:

  • What proportion of residents may benefit from the proposal?
  • Does it duplicate any existing provision in the village?
  • What will it cost to maintain the project and where will funds for this come from?
  • Will it be possible to gain addition grant funding if the Canadian Solar grant does not cover the cost?

Proposals should be submitted in writing to the Parish Clerk and should be no longer than one side of A4 paper when printed in Times new roman 12 point type. Any ideas already submitted that do not comply with the above should be resubmitted in order to be considered.
