Heritage LogoOur very first talk was in the Milborne Port library when Naomi Thorp told us all about the research she had done on the men who gave their lives during the Great War, it was standing room only!  Naomi has very kindly agreed to talk to us again but this time she will be telling us all about the men named on the War Memorial and who gave their lives during the Second World War. It will be a fascinating evening, as usual 7.30 pm in Church House, Bathwell Lane, Milborne Port on October 15th.

We will have copies of Naomi's booklets on sale along with our latest booklet, No 4, which is priced at £5, 'Remembering Milborne Port During the Great War' written and researched by Lesley Wray.

Subscriptions are now due at £12 per person and £18 per couple, I will be happy to receive subscriptions, cash or cheque, on the 15th but if you wish to pay by BACS please ask me for the account details.  If you are not a Member and wish to join please either speak to me or one of the committee members, we are very grateful to our members as we are able through them to produce the booklets and also to keep the Museum going.   We have to pay for the hall hire and occasionally for speakers and so from next year we will be asking for a donation of £2 per non-member at our monthly talks, free entry to members of course.

Look forward to seeing you on Monday 15th October.
