Milborne Port Gardening Club round off the year

GardeningAt our December Meeting we were pleased to welcome many of our existing members and some new members, attending to pay their 2020 subscriptions, and to listen to an interesting talk on Alpine Plants. A glass of wine (or non-alcoholic fizz) with mince pies provided an opportunity to socialise and wish each other a ‘Merry Christmas’.

Our 2020 programme was also distributed at the Meeting. We have an interesting winter and autumn programme of talks, summer garden visits, a cheese and wine evening, and an opportunity in May to make a summer hanging basket, as well as our usual chance to have an evening at Castle Gardens for discount shopping!   Full details of our new programme can be found on the Milborne Port Web page.

If you did not manage to get to this meeting, then you can enrol at any of our future meetings for a fee of only £12.00. Our first meeting will be held in the Camelot Room at the Village Hall on Tuesday, January 14th at 7.30pm when our speaker will tell us about the somewhat gruelling task of preparing a garden to RHS standards for opening in the National Open Gardens scheme.

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year.
