There was a record attendance at our last meeting for the presentation by members of the Somerset Vernacular Building Research Group on church houses in general and also focusing on the church house recently identified in Milborne Port. John Rickard displayed the extensive research he has done and Denny Robbins gave a fascinating talk about the history of church houses. If anyone has a house which they think might have an interesting history then please let us know as we intend continuing our research into local buildings.
